My name is Michèle Vranken. My whole career I’ve been working with children and since 2015 as nurse practitioner for the pediatric sedation and analgesia team.

My mission is to create an environment where children and their beloved ones can feel safe and even relaxed, in order to reduce their stress and anxiety levels as much as possible. Children coming back for treatment with a smile on their face make me feel happy. Therefore I believe we can do this together; not as individuals but as a team. In my guidance of children and their family throughout treatment, appreciative inquiry and family integrated care may be considered as keywords. A large scale of pharmacological en non-pharmacological techniques and skills help me to compose an individual, custom-made approach. My ultimate goal being their experiences having a positive influence on their future.
